on planet X is a country called Xland.

1,000,001 people live in Xland.

1,000,000 are pacifists.

1 is not, and he has a rather large knife.

this one person who is not a pacifist soon discovers two very important things:

1. if he uses his knife to kill people, he can then take all their money, property and belongings.

2. if he threatens to kill people with his knife, they invariably do whatever he wants them to do: they give him money, they work for him, they have sex with him, they obey him completely.

what a quandary?

what are the million pacifists in Xland to do?

pacifism is entirely wonderful on paper, but it is an utterly infantile, wrong headed and dangerous position to adopt in [as it is now] the real world.

for pacifism to work, everybody must be a pacifist.

the above will never happen.

the pacifist position gives absolute carte blanche to the violent, the evil, the psychopathic, the deranged and the amoral.

as a race, we are like pre-pubescent tweens.

we have a very very long way to go indeed before we can live on an entirely 'pacific' planet.
